"Why Martin?"

I passionately believe that my USP is being the only Keynote Speaker who has survived and thrived despite having two significant life-impacting health conditions, cerebral palsy and HIV.
This has led to a sustained period of stigma and patronage.
This is a continuing journey of:-
1) finding self worth and acceptance / being accepted.
2) developing approaches to combat stigma.
3) a positive personal Road to Recovery.
4) through my talks inspiring and motivating people, providing insight, generating empathy, changing perceptions and reassuring those with similar challenges.
This is an opportunity to inspire those listening to my speech, at the human ability to Survive and Thrive despite Adversity, while looking to challenge and eradicate society's stigma and patronage.
The positive strength of my unique story and journey
allows me to offer one or more of six areas of conversation.​
i) Disability from birth and overcoming stigma.
ii) Sexual awareness and disability.
iii) HIV late stage diagnosis - near death.
Living with HIV and stigma.
